Hello, I’m Linda Preston, and I’ve been practising yoga for over 30 years.
I’m a qualified RYT® 500hr Yoga Teacher and Yoga Therapist with a special interest in supporting older adults, chronic pain, mobility issues, and healthy ageing.
I teach Chair Yoga, gentle mat yoga, and somatic movement classes designed to help people move more comfortably, improve confidence, and maintain independence.
Many people believe stiffness, reduced mobility, aches and pains are simply something we must accept as we get older. While changes in the body are a natural part of ageing, gentle movement can often make a real difference to how we feel physically and emotionally.
My aim is to help you discover what your body can do — safely and without pressure — so you can feel stronger, steadier, more flexible, and more confident in everyday life.
Yoga classes can sometimes feel intimidating or geared towards younger, fitter people. As someone now in my sixties myself, I understand the concerns many older adults have around balance, strength, pain, health conditions, and confidence in movement.
That’s why my classes are welcoming, supportive, and fully inclusive. Whether you’re living with arthritis, chronic pain, limited mobility, recovering from illness, or simply feeling less flexible than you once were, you’ll be encouraged to work at your own pace.
My Chair Yoga classes combine gentle movement, stretching, breathing exercises, relaxation, and a sense of community — all in a friendly and enjoyable atmosphere.
The goal is simple: To help keep you moving, feeling better, and enjoying life.
